Snowlinux 2 "Cream" Ubuntu-based will be based upon Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (long term support) with 5 years of support. The momentan situation with the huge adjustment of the desktop environments, Snowlinux 2 offer two desktop environments and the fact of LTS that means support for 5 years do not let the release termin be as early as always. As default desktop environment is used MATE and it also features the Cinnamon desktop in a seperate ISO.
